At our surf school, we offer private and group lessons for all ages, as well as surf trips to nearby breaks depending on the conditions. All of our instructors are certified, experienced, and passionate surfers who are dedicated to giving you the best possible experience, both in and out of the water.

For us, surfing is one of the greatest gifts we can share with others. That’s why we love passing on our knowledge and experience to our students. Few things are more rewarding than seeing someone catch their very first wave with our help.
Playa Jacó is a truly unique place to learn and enjoy surfing. The beach is long and open, with multiple peaks to choose from, offering friendly waves and sunny days year-round. Combine that with the good vibes of the local community and the laid-back “Pura Vida” lifestyle, and you have the perfect setting to practice, improve your skills, or simply try surfing for the fun of it.
Our crew is friendly, passionate, and dedicated to making sure you have the best time both in and out of the water. Whether you’re traveling solo or with a group, we’ll make sure you feel at home. Also at Surfing w the Locals, we offer more than just surf lessons and surf trips — we can also organize a variety of tours and activities around the area to make your stay even more memorable. Such as Canopy Zipline, ATV, Tortuga Island tours, Horseback Riding, Crocodile Tour, Fishing and what's more, we can share with you some local tips even create an itinerary based on your preferences.
